April

In April, the Project Eden Hong Kong Instagram was launched.

March

In March, it was announced that Project Eden founder, Alysha would be showing a sustainable fashion collection in the 2020 Virtuosity student fashion show.

The collection titled “unspoken” was based on a 5 piece print collection:

Que Sera, Sera

Que Sera, Sera

Que Sera, Sera (Pattern 1 of 5)

Using the ASL sign language alphabet, The Spanish phrase "Que Sera, Sera" means, " what will be, will be" is printed over on the pattern. We fear the future and regret our past. But the truth is, it is all uncontrollable and unknown.

We must accept our present situation, and work for a brighter and sustainable future. We don’t know what our future will end up like, but it all relies on our current work, effort and solutions.

When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, “What will I be?” “Will I be pretty, will I be rich?” Here’s what she said to me: “Que será, será. Whatever will be, will be. The future’s not ours to see. Que será, será. What will be, will be

2019

September

The start of Project Eden.

A message from the founder:

This earth is the only one we have, and we need to take care of it. Although Fashion is one of my main passions, I am aware that the Garment industry is a major world polluter.

In September 2019, after competing in the Kids4Kids 2019 AFAC project pitching competition, Project Eden Founder, Alysha won an HKD5000 /USD400 seed grant to start Project Eden, to raise awareness about the fast fashion industry and environmental sustainability tying together both her passions for art and the environment together.

Project Eden soon became more than a brand promoting sustainability in fashion, and became a blog and entire team raising awareness about all aspects of sustainability.
